Laser Hair Removal Procedure
At our practice in Ottawa, laser hair removal using the ProWave laser employs a multiple wavelength system. This allows multiple skin types and hair colors to be treated, making it a versatile laser. Anesthesia is usually not necessary; however, some may choose to use a topical anesthetic in sensitive areas.
Because the hair grows in cycles, treatments should be separated with a few weeks in between each session. Usually about 3 to 6 treatments are recommended for optimal results, but total number of treatments largely depends on factors such as hair thickness, the area treated and hair growth cycle.
