Male Breast Reduction Procedure

For men suffering from gynecomastia in Ottawa, a male breast reduction procedure removes the breast tissue using liposuction and/or surgical excision through an incision around the nipple, in most cases. In unusual cases where large amounts of excess skin will remain, additional scarring to remove excess skin may be necessary for correction. Dr. Silverman will discuss which technique is right for you based upon your individual needs and desires.

The procedure generally takes about 1 to 2 hours, depending on how much breast tissue and/or skin needs to be removed. Many of our male breast reduction patients report that recovery is quick and easy.
