Breast Augmentation

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure designed to enhance the size and shape of one's breast, and to provide a more proportioned figure. This is achieved by placing a saline or cohesive gel implant in a pocket, created surgically, beneath each breast. The operation is performed under general anesthesia on an outpatient basis in a hospital operating room. Each patient has a unique shape, and Dr. Silverman will strive to combine your individual factors and personal preferences to create a custom-made operation that will best suit you. Dr. Silverman has experience performing several thousand breast enhancement procedures, and uses a variety of techniques, approaches, implant shapes and styles including both saline and cohesive gel implants in order to meet your needs.

Breast augmentation is a safe, commonly performed procedure that generally provides long-lasting results that are pleasing and satisfactory to the patient. However, as with any surgical procedure, potential complications may occasionally occur; some complications may require surgical correction. Dr. Silverman will discuss each of these with you at the time of your consultation.
