Blepharoplasty (eyelid lift):

Cosmetic eyelid surgery is designed to enhance the appearance of the upper and/or
lower eyelids, in order to provide a brighter, more alert and rested appearance of the
face. Some people seek eyelid enhancement as a result of aging, whereas others may
have inherited conditions that can lead to surgery in their 20's or 30's. Eyelid surgery
can correct loose, hanging skin of the upper lids, bags and dark circles under the eyes,
sagging lower lids, and eyelid puffiness. These problems are usually corrected by
surgically removing the excess skin, fat and muscle of the eyelids, leaving scars that
are typically very well hidden in the natural folds that already exist. Other cosmetic
concerns that are often seen when considering eyelid enhancement include crow's feet,
frown lines, and drooping eyebrows, which can be corrected using a variety of
techniques that may be combined with eyelid surgery. Some medical conditions, which
may accompany eyelid problems, such as dry eyes, thyroid abnormalities, glaucoma,
high blood pressure or diabetes may require special attention. Dr. Silverman will
discuss these issues with you during your consultation.

Blepharoplasty is a commonly performed, and highly successful cosmetic operation.
The results often last for many years and can make a dramatic change in one's
appearance.  Dr. Silverman will perform a full evaluation of your eyes and describe the
procedure, as well as discuss related potential complications during your initial
consultation.

Face / neck lift:

A facelift is a cosmetic operation that is designed to rejuvenate the face and neck, by
removing facial wrinkles and elevating loose and sagging skin, muscle and fat of the
face and neck. People may seek this operation at a wide variety of ages, depending on
the conditions that one wishes to have addressed. As each patient's facial features are
so personal and unique, Dr. Silverman will strive to achieve a natural, non-artificial
surgical result that is highly individualized to meet each patient's particular needs.
Facelift surgery reliably smoothes wrinkles of the cheeks and neck, softens the folds
between the lips and nose, improves "jowls", and tightens and sharpens the neck and
jaw-line. The operation is performed through incisions hidden in the hair of the temple
region, the natural crease in front of the ear, and the skin and scalp behind the ear. An
additional incision may occasionally be placed beneath the chin. Excess skin is
removed, and the facial and neck muscles are tightened underneath, in order to
recreate a natural, more youthful appearance. The operation may be combined with
other facial procedures, such as eyelid enhancement, browlift surgery, facial
dermabrasion or chemical peels.

Facelift surgery is a commonly performed, safe and highly successful operation with

Forehead lift / browlift:

A browlift is a surgical procedure designed to relieve forehead creases, drooping
eyebrows and/or frown lines by elevating the skin and muscles of the forehead, and
releasing selected muscles of the brow which cause wrinkles. This may be done with
an endoscope through a series of small incisions in the hairline , or may be more
traditionally performed through a single incision within the hairline. Additionally, a
browlift can be combined with other cosmetic facial procedures such as a facelift or
blepharoplasty (eyelids). Potential complications associated with browlift surgery are
uncommon, and will be discussed with you during your initial consultation.
