Our office staff takes pride in their exceptional warmth, ease of manner, efficiency and confidentiality with respect to our patients. Every effort will be made to accommodate the patient to assure timely and convenient office visits, as well as scheduling of surgical procedures. Great effort is taken regarding scheduling, to avoid unnecessary waiting and delays. Ottawa plastic surgeon Dr. Howard Silverman will see you personally during both your pre-operative and post-operative visits.

Our Staff
Brenda is our office nurse who works closely with Dr. Silverman to ensure your initial consult and subsequent visits are all positive encounters. Brenda is a Registered Nurse who has over 20 years of professional experience, and brings with her a diverse background in health care.
Brenda trained in Northern Alberta, and began her nursing career at the Civic Hospital where she worked with Oncology patients for over 7 years. She then worked as a Registered Nurse in a busy downtown dental office that specialized in delivery of dental care under sedation, requiring highly skilled nursing. Brenda later worked at the Almonte General Hospital in various departments, including Chronic Care, Medical, Surgical, Labour and Delivery, Obstetrical, and Operating Room settings.
Brenda has worked closely with Dr. Silverman since 2006, gaining extensive experience with aesthetic surgery as his operating room nurse since then. She has helped care for his aesthetic patients in his office and in hospital during this time, providing highly customized nursing specific to cosmetic and aesthetic surgery. This experience has given Brenda a unique knowledge and insight into Dr. Silverman's patients, being involved in their care prior to, during and after surgery.
During your visit with Dr. Silverman, Brenda will assist with your consultation. With her Operating room experience and individualized training by Dr. Silverman, Brenda is qualified to answer any questions you may have related to your surgery, the recovery process or any follow up. Brenda's training enables her to help with in-office procedures and you will find her to be a great source of information.
Christena McNab is originally from the Ottawa area. She attended McGill University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has been practicing the art of soft tissue enhancement with dermal fillers since 1998 when she was recruited by the Swedish Company Q-Med who is the manufacturer of the dermal filler Restylane®. She was part of the team that launched Restylane in Canada and she continued to work for Q-Med for 9 years as a physician educator, teaching Plastic Surgeons and Dermatologists proper techniques for injecting Restylane. As such, she has unique and extensive experience and training in soft-tissue facial enhancement.
Christena has been a member of Dr. Silverman's team since 2006, and works closely with Dr. Silverman, performing non-surgical facial soft tissue procedures. She has great skill and experience in all aspects of aesthetic skin care, including administration of BOTOX® Cosmetic and soft tissue fillers. You will find Christena approachable and attentive to your needs and concerns. She enjoys working with patients to help them achieve their goals.
