Case Study 23
Surgeon: Dr. Howard Silverman | Age: 52 | Gender: Female
This patient presented for breast revision after augmentation surgery. She underwent a trans axillary sub muscular breast augmentation with a superior crescentic mastopexy performed in the United States several years prior.
She is pleased with the size of her breasts, but is unhappy regarding the overall shape of the breasts, breast ptosis, and the elongated shape of her areola. She underwent a revision augmentation and mastopexy leaving the existing breast implants intact in the sub muscular plane, but revising the mastopexy into a vertical pattern, providing a more favourable breast aesthetic, with reduction of the lax and descendant lower pole, correction of the nipple areola complex in regards to its position, size and shape. This resulted in aesthetic and natural appearing breasts, while maintaining her desired fullness.
