What to expect during fibroblast treatment
Before treatment, the skin is cleansed and numbed with a topical anesthetic. Once the skin is sufficiently numb (after approximately 30 minutes), your clinical aesthetician will fibroblast the desired area with the plasma pen. This non-surgical treatment uses a pen-like device to discharge a high-frequency electrical current. The plasma blast does not touch the skin, but the heat creates micro-injuries in the top layer that encourages tissue regeneration and tightens the skin. These tiny scab-like dots form a symmetrical grid over the treatment area and are a normal part of the healing process.
Once treatment is complete, a cooling gel is applied to the area to minimize any discomfort. The treatment takes 30-60 minutes to perform. You will likely see your desired results after a single treatment. However, depending on the area being treated, the condition of the skin prior to treatment, and your individual skin response, additional fibroblast treatments may be required after 6-8 weeks to achieve optimal results.
Recovery
There is little to no downtime after this procedure and you can return to normal activities right away. The micro-scabs will fall off on their own 7-10 days following treatment.

Frequently asked questions
- How does fibroblast plasma skin tightening work?
During the Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening treatment, an electric arc, also referred to as “plasma flash,” forms between the tip of the treatment handpiece and the patient’s skin. Through a process called sublimation (turning a solid directly into gas) the targeted tissues are instantly tightened.
- How much does fibroblast plasma skin tightening cost?
The cost varies depending on the areas being treated. We price our treatments using the following guidelines:
- Forehead lines: $250-$500
