Kirsty Boyd

Dr. Boyd is a sensational surgeon, decorated with three specialized fellowships in aesthetic and reconstructive breast surgery and in peripheral nerve and microsurgery on top of her plastic surgery residency training. She enhances the lives of her clients with her expertise in aesthetic surgery for the breasts and body. Her knowledge and passion for care inform each and every consultation, appointment, and surgical procedure she performs. Dr. Boyd has also authored numerous publications and received funding from several educational and clinical research grants.

Dr. Boyd holds hospital privileges at the Arnprior Hospital and Almonte General Hospital and regularly performs surgical procedures at both institutions, as well as in our private office. She also holds operating privileges at University of Ottawa Hospital, where she also serves as Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at University of Ottawa where she is the program director for Plastic Surgery, shaping the next generation of surgeons.
Commitment to advancing research
Dr. Boyd is committed to ongoing research in the field and has held the following positions:
- An expert independent assessor to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
- President of the Young Plastic Surgeons Committee for the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons from 2015–2017
- Director of the training program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Ottawa Hospital
- She has served on the Board of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons for the last nine years and is currently the Public Relations Chair.
- Dr. Boyd serves as an expert independent assessor to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. She is on the Editorial Board of Plastic Surgery, The Journal. She is a committed researcher and has been invited to present at national and international meetings. She has published over 10 book chapters and over 60 peer-reviewed publications.
- Dr. Boyd is an Associate Professor and is committed to teaching. She recently completed her term as Director of the training program in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the Ottawa Hospital. She serves on the Examination Boards of both Surgical Foundations and Plastic Surgery at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
