When you come in for your surgery, our goal is to make your BBL feel as comfortable as possible and produce the best results. Your Brazilian Butt Lift will be performed under general anesthesia, so you should be very comfortable.

Once sedated, liposuction will be performed, via tiny incisions in the agreed-upon areas of your body, leaving these treated locations, contoured and slimmer.

Then, the extracted fat will be processed and purified to reduce any extraneous fluid or damaged fat cells. Once purified, it will be readied for injection into your buttock area to give them a fuller, rounder look, carefully avoiding injury to the deep muscles and structures of the buttocks. Inevitably, some of the fat will be reabsorbed by the body. However, our careful technique maximizes blood flow to the newly injected fat, which makes the body more likely to retain the additional volume. The additional volume that remains after 3 months will be long-lasting.

Once the desired shape is achieved, the incisions are sealed with stitches and the gluteal area is wrapped with a dressing, topped by a compression garment.

After surgery, you will be monitored in our recovery room until Your surgeon decides that you are safe to be discharged. You will need a family member or friend available to drive you home in case you are still feeling some of the effects of sedation.

It is common to see bruising and swelling and experience minor discomfort after the procedure. To support your buttocks and to minimize swelling, you will be advised to wear a compression garment for the first few weeks following surgery.

 After 1-2 weeks, patients are typically fine to return to work, with the caveat that they should avoid sitting for extended periods if possible. Returning to vigorous exercise takes a bit longer, generally around 3 weeks. Your surgeon can counsel you on a specific timeline as it relates to your fitness routine. Most patients find that most swelling fades within a few weeks, and they can begin enjoying their newly enhanced contours and curves.

It’s essential to follow Your surgeon’s post-operative instructions, including proper wound care and restrictions on sitting or lying directly on your buttocks for a certain period. You may gradually return to your normal activities as instructed, and with the proper rest and care, you should return to full activity in about eight weeks.
