This 43-year-old patient underwent breast augmentation, performed by Dr. Howard Silverman at Ottawa Plastic Surgery. Her procedure was designed to enhance breast volume and improve overall breast balance in the setting of bilateral breast hypoplasia and significant natural asymmetry.

To address her asymmetry, different implant sizes and profiles were selected for each breast: a 335 cc Allergan smooth round full profile silicone gel implant on the left and a 275 cc Allergan smooth round moderate profile silicone gel implant on the right. The patient declined a balancing mastopexy, so the surgical plan focused on improving volume and proportion with implants alone.

Breast augmentation surgery can be customized for patients with breast asymmetry, naturally smaller breast volume, or differences in breast position and shape. This patient’s result demonstrates improved fullness, enhanced proportion, and a more balanced breast contour.
